About BBNT

Bogus Basin Nordic Team is a nonprofit organization inspiring, engaging, and developing cross country skiers and biathletes of all ages and abilities through excellent nordic ski training and events.

Our Vision

Bogus Basin Nordic Team provides every opportunity for excellence in nordic skiing and is highly regarded locally and nationally for supporting the achievement of athletic goals.

BBNT is built on five core values:

COMMUNITY

Ask anyone what the best part of BBNT is and they’ll likely talk about community. Connections made through BBNT last a lifetime. Athletes return as coaches, parents become board members, and passionate citizen skiers attend our events year after year. Being a part of BBNT is often cited by our community members as an integral part of a fulfilling life.

EXCELLENCE

With BBNT, athletes can pursue excellence through their own definition of the word. We help our athletes define what excellence means to them, whether it’s qualifying for Junior Nationals, winning a Bogus Challenge, improving their double pole technique, or spending consistent and active time outside with friends.

FUN

One of our foremost goals is to foster a lifelong love of sport. We achieve that goal through focusing on fun during practices and events. We work hard and have fun doing it, making plenty of time for play and finding joy on nordic skis.

RESPECT

Our athletes are respected members of the community both during and outside of ski practice. We expect our athletes to respect themselves, their teammates, coaches and community, their environment, and their training. Endurance sports can be challenging, and our athletes have the opportunity to practice resilience in the face of adversity throughout their time with BBNT.

RESPONSIBILITY

We hold our athletes to a high standard, cultivating responsibility as a lifelong value. We teach our athletes to be responsible stewards of trails we spend so much time on, to be responsible to themselves and their teammates by showing up to practices prepared, and to be responsible role models and representatives of BBNT by demonstrating kindness, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
